So probably the most frustrating thing i’ve experienced lately is the lack of maternity clothes. Not to mention they are sooooo expensive! With that being said I do have my favorite places that I frequent often…and pretty much get ALL that they have which is usually a single rack. This little comic that I put together actually happened (H&M in Chandler), which I like to point out WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU PUT MATERNITY CLOTHES WHERE THERE ARE STAIRS??? by the time I reached the second floor I was completely exhausted…and do you know where the fitting room was? yep you guessed it…first floor. I really wonder how people think of these things? So I probably made the stair trip a good ten times…ugh!

So if I had to put the clothing stores in order from the (one being the one I like the most) at this point it would be….

1) Old Navy Maternity

2) H&M Maternity

3) Motherhood

Pretty much in that order….with old navy and H&m you can find stores that actually have the clothes instead of ONLY being online but you have to do some research and call around.

When I first started this journey I tried craigslist to see if anyone was selling an entire lot of clothing…which I thought was a brilliant idea but turns out not many people like to give away there “good” maternity clothes….Have you found any great places? Love to hear them!

So I must of googled “When are you suppose to start showing?” hundred of times, because for some reason I felt like I was getting big fast…And as it turns out there is no exact science to when you should start showing and everyone is different. For me it happened around 12 weeks, but I’m not sure if I was actually showing a “baby bump” or if it was just bloat. Either way I knew I wasn’t going to be fitting into my pants anymore. And that is when I discovered the incredibly bad selection of maternity clothes especially when you are in the weird, am I bloated or showing a baby bump phase.

I guess I’ll never forget the day my morning sickness (or as I like to call it “all day sickness”) kicked in. I was on a plane back to houston and right as the altitude started dropping, I started to get very nauseous. Now they say planes heightened your already existing sickness and boy they were right. First time I have ever got sick on a plane and I’m hoping it is the last time. Needless to say when I got home my husband was convinced it was all  in my head, and as I continued the puking extravaganza he just kept saying “mind over matter babe…” and that is when I knew he was completely out of touch to what was going on…and to be honest its really hard for guys to understand. So in the meantime just let them know to but on their sensitive hat and go along for the ride!

So your first pregnancy test came up positive…and well you might as well take another one sweet heart because probably the baby’s daddy isn’t just going to believe one. In my case it took 4 before he was convinced and I still booked a doctors appointment to make sure. Which answers the question….now what? And here is the part that really confused me because when you finally have your first missed period you’re technically already 3 weeks pregnant, and because the drug store tests are so accurate these days they will most likely have you wait till your 8 weeks.
